Google has most definitely become a vocabulary word in the modern home across America. Anytime somebody has a question, the clear result is to "google it". From starting as an algorithm based search engine, Google's type of search was unique as it arrived in the late 1900's. Originally called "BackRub", Google's creators wanted a device on the World Wide Web, that would enhance the ability to cite your sources in papers. They wanted to be able to link articles back to the page originally discovered.

Consequently, Google became a world wide plague, devouring the internet and users of such, and marketing the entire web into their own playground. Not stopping there, Google then enhanced the web with features such as Google Earth - an entirely advanced satellite based image system of the earth, with the capability to zoom up to the front door of your neighbor. Quite ingenious, however Google would not stop there.

The next platform to overtake for Google mobile devices. They teamed up with Android, and T-Mobile to release the G1, the FIRST Android OS cell phone. A mobile phone to truly rival Apple's iPhone.

It seems that no-matter where we arrive on the web, Google has a hand in the arrival. Either they themselves have provided the search engine for one to arrive at such a site, or they have placed a program to allow advertisements on the webpage (Adsense), or they have provided the most popular blogging platform on the web (Blogger!). Now Google has intensified its approach to web searching, with Google Instant.

Google Instant, has revolutionized searching. Real time updates whenever you stroke a key on the keyboard. Instead of wasting precious seconds on clicking Search, Instant provides live links on the webpage that refresh whenever you edit your entry.

It seems as if Google is at the forefront of all aspects when dealing with technology and internet communications. Even Google's main competitor
Apple is following suit with this type of technology.

So what to think? Is Google the Trend-Setter for the web as we see it today? Your thoughts.Sources
